Conscientious Objection

What do you believe about war and peace? How is God asking you to make peace in our world? Can you offer clear reasons for your beliefs and convincing evidence of them in your life? Student Opt Out Form

Federal public law 107-110, section 9528 of the ESEA, "No Child Left Behind Act" requires school districts to release student names, address, and phone numbers to military recruiters upon their request. Student are then called at home by recruiters and pressured to join the military. The law also requires the school district to notify you of your right to Opt-out from this by requesting that the district not release your information to military recruiters. The completion and return of this form serves as your request to withhold your private information. 

National Campaign for a Peace Tax Fund

The National Campaign for a Peace Tax Fund advocates for legislation in the U.S. Congress that would enable conscientious objectors to war to have their federal income taxes directed to a special fund which could be used for non-military purposes only. The Peace Tax Fund Bill affects the "current military" portion of the U.S. Budget. For more information, go to http://www.peacetaxfund.org/.
