Marriage Enrichment
Pastors Steve and Susan wish to proactively support
marriages.
They have received training from the
Association for Couples in Marriage Enrichment (ACME) and from the
Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program (PREP).
They bring together the best of each of
these two programs in their Marriage Enrichment Retreats.
ACME encourages persons to verbally
communicate with their spouses in the context of the community; the
premise is that we can learn from being with other couples.
PREP brings refined communication skills,
and conflict resolution skills.
The weekends typically include some time for
input and skill sharing, some time for practicing the skills taught, and
some time for couples to spend alone.
Settings for a Marriage Enrichment Retreat
might include a hotel, a state park, or a retreat center.
Eight couples attend each retreat.
