Marriage Enrichment

Pastors Steve and Susan wish to proactively support marriages.  They have received training from the Association for Couples in Marriage Enrichment (ACME) and from the Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program (PREP). They bring together the best of each of these two programs in their Marriage Enrichment Retreats. ACME encourages persons to verbally communicate with their spouses in the context of the community; the premise is that we can learn from being with other couples. PREP brings refined communication skills, and conflict resolution skills. The weekends typically include some time for input and skill sharing, some time for practicing the skills taught, and some time for couples to spend alone.  Settings for a Marriage Enrichment Retreat might include a hotel, a state park, or a retreat center. Eight couples attend each retreat. 

If you are interested in giving your relationship the gift of time away from the busyness of your every day lives, and giving it a bit of special attention, please contact one of the pastors about when the next retreat will be held.

Upcoming Retreat Planned for 2010
Pastors Steve and Susan will lead a Marriage Enrichment Retreat on February 5-6, 2010, at Spruce Hill Resort near Mansfield, OH. The programmed part of our retreat will be from 2 pm on Friday until 5 pm on Saturday. Couples may stay a second night if they wish. The cost for the retreat will be approximately $125. There is space for only 8 couples, so please call Steve or Susan to register as soon as possible.
