In Mennonite circles, we often hear only about the experiences of C.O.s who were from the Historic Peace Churches and usually filtered through the perspective of an historian. On Wednesday, April 25 at 7 pm in the Sanctuary, Anne Yoder will reveal to us a fresh picture of the plethora of men and the complexities of their varying encounters and decisions by focusing on the personal writings of the C.O.s themselves. Ms. Yoder has been an archivist for 25 years, most of that time at the Swarthmore College Peace Collection, where she has processed hundreds of feet of archival material about conscientious objectors (in addition to many other archival collections on various peace topics going back to 1815). Co-sponsored with Central Ohioans for Peace.
