Clintonville-Beechwold Community
Resource Center (CRC)

The Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resource Center (CRC) distributes over two tons of food and toiletries each week to economically stressed individuals and families through their Food Pantry - that's over 6,000 meals per month. Other services include emergency material assistance (clothing, housing, healthcare) as well as linkages and referrals to other agencies and supportive services.

CRC's Kids Club provides a no-cost after school and summer care program for elementary and middle school youth. It is host to a daily average of 80 children Monday through Friday during the school year and 65 children during the summer months. An all-volunteer tutoring program provides one-on-one support for students in need of extra academic help. Summer programming includes special events, team sports, lunch meals, cultural field trips and academic enrichment opportunities.

CRC Senior Supportive Services are designed to maintain seniors safely and independently in their own homes and to protect the elderly from social isolation. CRC provides a wide range of services for area seniors, including: social outings to local cultural sites, weekly grocery trips, medical appointment transport, social gatherings, home visits, personal assistance and health or safety related home maintenance and repairs.

As a community-based agency, local support is critical to fulfilling CRC's mission. In addition to monetary donations, CRC also accepts donations of food, toiletries and personal hygiene items and infant/toddler suppolies. Volunteers are needed to provide transportation, help seniors, tutor children, work on special events, unload food boxes and package donations for families. To see how you might help with one of CRC's programs, call them at 268-3539.
