Finding Good Web Resources on Other Books of the Bible

These materials focus only on the cultural world of Jesus as expressed in the gospel of Mark. What if you are looking for materials on other books of the Bible?

If you are interested in New Testament study, I recommend that you begin with Mark Goodacre's website, called The New Testament Gateway (click on the logo at left). Goodacre, of the Department of Theology at the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom, has developed a marvelous site that tells you where to look on the Web. It's well-maintained, updated regularly with new material, and recommended by many seminaries.

Although Mark Goodacre focuses primarily on New Testament materials, his site is also a good place to start looking for Old Testament materials. Try his Biblical Resource Index Pages.

Another fine place to look for Old Testament materials is iTanakh, maintained by R. Christopher Heard at Milligan College (click on the logo at left).
